Preston based foodservice equipment supplier, CHR announced today that one of its team has been shortlisted in the new CEDA award category ‘Rising Star’. Pete Callaghan will join industry colleagues and peers to find out who takes the coveted award at the CEDA Conference and Gala Dinner 2020 to be held at the Majestic Hotel, Harrogate on the 23rd and 24th April.
Pete joined CHR in November 2015 starting out as our regional sales manager. Quickly progressing to project sales and taking responsibility for working with clients to bring ideas and solutions to projects in food service operations. With a friendly, organised approach Pete’s work has included the first Michelin star restaurant in Manchester for 40 years at Mana. This kitchen joined a host of high calibre projects that CHR have been involved with over the last 26 years.
The company, who always look to strengthen their highly successful team with good people, are committed to the training and development of staff. This industry recognition as a rising star is just reward for all Pete’s hard work and dedication.
The objective is to recognise and reward an individual’s outstanding achievement and contribution to the development of a ceda Member company. ceda (Catering Equipment Distributors Association) provide support and guidance for it’s members as well as hosting the 2 day conference and gala dinner. The rising star award is a relatively new addition to the Grand Prix awards, now in their 33rd year.
In addition to the trophy and accolades, this year’s winner will also receive a £2,500 bursary sponsored by ceda’s Platinum Partners. Importantly, this will be used to further the development of the winner with overseas trips to exhibitions, events and training opportunities.
The independently judged entries resulted in six people being shortlisted who have made a significant impact on a Members’ business.
