Paul Neville, CHR Equipment Director, says, “Dudley College is setting a great example of how to rejuvenate an area to create a stimulating environment for its students and an enhanced revenue stream for the College. The Eco Café uses recycled materials, hydro carbon refrigeration, LED light, even the coffee is sustainable, being FairTrade under the ‘We Proudly Brew’ banner.

“The whole project was designed to ensure money invested by the College was channelled back into the local economy and this was nearly 50% of the spend at the last check.”

The refit has provided students with state-of-the-art facilities to go hand in hand with the College’s creation of a £30m learning quarter in the town. Evolve- which will take four years to build, and provide one central educational point in place of the current five campuses across the town.

The Dudley College project began as CHR also won contracts to design, supply and install kitchens for three new schools in Lincolnshire, and to supplement facilities at Cadbury World, where we installed a kitchen which went on to win a national industry award for sustainability.
