From the very early days of the hotel The French has been one of the most important restaurants in Manchester and continues to maintain a special place in the hearts of Mancunians. In 1974 it was awarded one of the first Michelin-stars with the publication of the first guide.
Manchester born Adam was appointed as head chef in 2013 when the French was re-launched and since then has been given many accolades including 4 AA Rosettes. When Great British Menu winner Adam re-established the restaurant as Adam Reid at The French, his aim was to create a more modern dining experience.
